Group Volunteers
Looking for a way to help your community with your friends, family, or co-workers?
Groups are needed at the warehouse throughout October and November of each year. We can block off shifts for groups of all sizes and set up a private registration page for your group.
While most of our groups tend to work as bike cleaners and movers, we can also set aside shifts for bike preppers and mechanics. Shifts are typically three hours long, but we’re very flexible on duration, as well as start and end times.
Volunteer job descriptions
-
Just as the name implies, you’ll help move and sort bikes throughout our warehouse.
-
Never changed a flat tire before, but don’t mind getting a little dirty? As a bike cleaner, you’ll get the cobwebs and mud off of donated bikes so they’re ready for the bike preppers and mechanics.
-
Know how to change a flat, but a little rusty on how to adjust a derailleur? This is the perfect job for someone with a little bit of bike knowledge. You’ll change tires and tighten bolts before the mechanics give each bike some TLC.
-
Are you comfortable adjusting brakes, hubs, bottom brackets, and derailleurs? We have the job for you. You don’t need to have bike shop experience, nor do you need to worry about all the modern hydraulic and electronic parts.

Want to help outside of our busy season?
We offer bike building opportunities that serve as both FB4KMN fundraisers and ways to support targeted programs that have reached out with requests for bike fleets and similar needs. We bring the boxed bikes to your location, help as you build them, and then get them to the kids who need them. We can accommodate groups and budgets of nearly any size. Reach out today to learn more.
